In Nepal, The Asia Foundation works with government and non-governmental organization partners to promote conflict transformation, peace-building, and democratic governance that serves all Nepalis regardless of ethnicity, caste, or geographic region. Through financial support, technical assistance, training, and research, the Foundation supports local initiatives to strengthen the rule of law and human rights, promote sustainable peace, broaden economic opportunities, and safeguard women's rights and security. The Foundation conducts these activities in a flexible and coordinated fashion to respond to Nepal's fluid political situation.
